Ozone Hydrogen Peroxide-UV Radiation

The addition of H2O2 to the O3/UV process accelerates the decomposition of ozone, which results in an increased rate of OH radical generation. In processes involving pollutants that are weak absorbers of UV radiation, it is more cost effective to add hydrogen peroxide externally at a reduced UV flux.

If direct photolysis of pollutants is not a major factor, O3/H2O2 should be considered as an alternative to photo-oxidation processes.
