Industrial-Grade Plate-Type Ozone Systems for Maximum Output & Reliability

At ORAIPL, our Plate-Type Plasma Ozone Generators represent the 8th generation of plasma ozone technology. These systems are designed for industries requiring high ozone concentration (up to 300 mg/L), stable performance, and energy-efficient operation.

With patented double water-cooling plasma modules and micro-gap dielectric discharge design, these ozone systems deliver maximum efficiency and reliability, even under continuous heavy-duty operation.

Plate Type Plasma Ozone Generators India - ORAIPL

Technology & Construction

Our plate-type generators are built using:

  • Discharge Body Material: Aviation-grade aluminum alloy with special oxidation treatment for corrosion resistance.

  • Dielectric Material: High-purity ceramics, surface coated for long life and high dielectric strength.

  • Independent Units: Each module comes with fuse protection, ensuring redundancy and safe operation.

  • Advanced Cooling: Patented double water cooling system cools both the high-voltage and ground electrodes, preventing overheating and ozone degradation.

  • Power Supply: Custom-designed high-frequency (8–15 kHz) ozone power supply ensures stable corona discharge and reduced energy consumption.

Technical Working of Plate-Type Plasma Ozone Generators

Plate-Type Plasma Ozone Generators are the flagship ozone technology from ORAIPL, designed for high-concentration ozone production (up to 300 mg/L) with excellent stability and efficiency. These systems are based on the principle of Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD), using flat discharge plates with ultra-narrow gaps to maximize ozone yield.

Core Components

  1. Discharge Plates

    • Built from aviation-grade aluminum alloy, treated with special oxidation coating for corrosion resistance.

    • Precision-engineered to maintain an even discharge gap of 0.15 mm, which ensures uniform plasma discharge.

  2. Dielectric Layer

    • Made from high-purity ceramic, surface-coated to provide a strong dielectric barrier.

    • Prevents arcing and ensures consistent corona discharge over the full plate surface.

  3. Electrodes

    • High-voltage electrode and ground electrode are both double water-cooled, maintaining safe operating temperatures.

    • Independent modular electrode design provides fuse protection for each unit.

  4. Cooling System

    • Patented double water-cooling technology removes heat from both the high-voltage and ground electrodes.

    • Cooling water (20–25 °C) keeps the plate temperature below 30 °C, preventing ozone breakdown.

  5. Power Supply

    • Specialized ozone power supply designed for frequencies of 8–15 kHz.

    • Ensures stable discharge, high efficiency, and low energy use (≤ 6 kWh/kg O₃).

Step-by-Step Ozone Generation Process

  1. Oxygen feed gas (93% purity from PSA Oxygen Generator or LOX source) enters the plate module at 0.12–0.16 MPa pressure.

  2. A high-voltage field is applied across the dielectric barrier, creating a non-thermal plasma discharge in the narrow 0.15 mm gap.

  3. Oxygen molecules (O₂) are split into atomic oxygen (O).

  4. Atoms recombine to form ozone (O₃) at concentrations of 180–220 mg/L (up to 300 mg/L with customization).

  5. Double water cooling continuously removes heat, ensuring stability and preventing decomposition of ozone molecules.

  6. The produced ozone gas exits the generator and is directed into the process stream (e.g., water treatment, flue gas).

Performance Characteristics

  • High Ozone Concentration: 180–220 mg/L standard, with special configurations reaching 300 mg/L.

  • Large Output Range: From 25 g/h (small modules) to 50,000 g/h (industrial systems).

  • Energy Efficiency: ≤ 6.0 kWh per kg of ozone.

  • Stable Long-Term Output: Independent unit protection prevents system-wide failure.

  • Durability: High-grade aluminum alloy and ceramic construction ensure long service life.

Advantages of Plate-Type Design

  • Ultra-High Ozone Yield → More ozone per unit of oxygen compared to tubular systems.

  • Compact Footprint → High-capacity ozone generation in smaller space.

  • Scalability → Modular units can be combined to meet any required capacity.

  • Industrial Reliability → Designed for 24/7 operation in harsh environments.

  • Precision Cooling → Dual water cooling ensures ozone stability at high concentrations.
